Steiff snake display animal, c. 3 meter long, flat button, handwritten item No. 2299,97, breast sign "Original Steiff", mohair, softly stuffed, with massive wires inside, very nice, special glass eyes, opened felt mouth, this snake is offered in the price list for fair novelties Nuremberg for display animals 1967  with exactly this item number with comma, shortly after this the item numbers were changed by Steiff  to numbers with shlash, therefore this snake can be exactly dated to 1967 and it was one of the first of its kind, perfect, unused original condition.
